Preschools

Our Preschools offers a nurturing and play-based environment for children aged 1 to 6. The program focuses on social, emotional, physical, and early cognitive development through hands-on activities and exploration.

Classes are conducted in English, with Bosnian-speaking support, helping children grow in confidence and language skills in a gentle and engaging way.

Preschools Overview

Primary School (Grades 1–9)

Our Primary School at Richmond Park Sarajevo covers Grades 1 to 9, offering a bilingual curriculum aligned with both the Sarajevo Canton framework and selected Cambridge International Curriculum components.

In the lower years (Grades 1–4), students follow a structured daily routine focused on foundational skills. English is taught using Jolly Phonics and enhanced by lessons in grammar, reading, and creative writing. Maths and Science are introduced through the Cambridge Primary Curriculum, while other subjects follow local standards.

In the upper years (Grades 5–9), students continue developing academic fluency through Cambridge English and core subjects like Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics), Math, ICT. Subject-specialist teachers deliver the curriculum, and students are encouraged to participate in enrichment clubs, language learning, and competitions.

Secondary Schools (Grades 10–13)

International Secondary School (Grades 10–13)

Richmond Park International Secondary School Sarajevo offers a blended curriculum that combines the Cambridge International Curriculum with the Sarajevo Canton standards, delivered primarily in English. Students begin with a common academic programme in Grades 10 and 11, and in Grades 12 and 13, they choose a specialized academic track.

Lower Stage (Grades 10–11):

Students study a broad set of subjects, including English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, ICT, and Languages. Two departments exist at this stage:

General
ICT (where Programming replaces Turkish)

Students may choose to sit for Cambridge IGCSE exams. These are optional, and additional preparation is provided for candidates.

Upper Stage (Grades 12–13):

Students select one of four academic departments:

Maths & ICT
Sciences
Humanities
Languages

Each department includes elective subjects aligned with students’ interests and future university goals. Selected students may take Cambridge AS/A-Level exams at the end of this stage.

Instruction Language:

English is the main language of instruction for all academic subjects except for national language and foreign language lessons.

College Sarajevo (Grades 10–13)

The College follows the official Sarajevo Canton curriculum for the General Gymnasium and is designed for students who previously studied outside the international system but wish to continue their education partially in English.

Curriculum Highlights:

English is the language of instruction for Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and ICT
Other subjects (e.g., BCS Language, History, Geography, Philosophy, Latin) are taught in Bosnian
Students do not choose departments; the curriculum is unified across four years

Language Focus:

Emphasis on acquiring strong academic English
Courses in Turkish included across all years

Student Profile:

Ideal for students from Bosnia and Herzegovina who prefer a generalist curriculum taught partly in English. This program does not prepare students for Cambridge exams but allows them to earn a national diploma for local university entry.
